The concept behind The Bait House is simple. The waterproof bait station protects the bait from rain and weather elements, allowing it to last for upwards of a week as opposed to the 4-8 hours lifespan of typical bait. Since it is present for a long period, the entire colony is exposed to the bait destroying the Queen and colony. Without killing the Queen, you are accomplishing nothing in tackling your ant problem. How It Works
The Bait House consists of three parts: the Lid, the Station, and the Shaft. When snapped on, the lid makes the station water-tight, much like placing your finger on top of a straw capturing all liquid inside. Once the bait is placed within the structure, it's sealed tight allowing for an endless supply for ants. Ants crawl in and "poof"---ant problem eliminated.
The shaft can be removed if you decide to use the station indoors. And on that note, our ant-killing system is MUCH more effective in eliminating ants within the home than traditional methods like spraying. Why? Because spraying ants indoors only kills a few of them and consequently, spreads the ants in different directions. Additionally, it creates a nasty odor in the home. And no one wants that! By using The Bait House indoors, you effectively kill the colony from which the pests call home.
What Do I Use For Bait?
You may be wondering what to use for bait. Depending on the kind of ant (fire, sugar, etc) you must use a certain granular or recipe of material inside The Bait Station. For fire ants, we recommend going to your local garden centers and asking for granular fire ant bait. For sugar or other sweet-loving ants (even carpenter), you can even find your own recipes to make bait online!
